Deserted as a child, Nikki vowed that she would remain single rather than putting her own children through that type of emotional hell. When she meets Wolfe though, all bets are off and the sexual tension sizzles out of control. Mercenaries keep cropping up, so they retreat to Wolfe’s ancestral home in the mountains. Just as their relationship deepens, Nikki is kidnapped and Wolfe is forced to mount a rescue mission.
The story ends with a happily ever after, and subsequent books in the same world are set up during this one
