Hump Day Kick Start – Broken Edition

Hump Day Kick Start – for your muse, a writing picture prompt, or just a visual treat.

broken

In keeping with the October theme, I give you today’s prompt.

Who are they? What is going on? Is he pleading for his life? For forgiveness? Could this be a controlling father breaking his son? Death come to collect on a debt? Maybe the suit has promised there is no way out of the nightmare the bloody man created. What if a vampire has come to dinner?

What’s your take. Tell me a tale or caption the pic.

Bruce Wayne: So what’s your answer, now, after what happened in the alley just now with those thugs?
Dick Grayson: Gosh, Mr. Wayne. I totally get the part about you wearing a bat suit and driving the souped up car. But why do I have to dress like an elf and ride a motorcycle?
Wayne: I’m the grown-up. I get the cool car.
Grayson: If you’re the grown-up, why are you gonna wear a pointy-eared mask and a long cape?
Wayne: Uh… it’s about image. Casting fear in the hearts of hardened criminals.
Grayson: Exactly my point. When they see me in the elf outfit, they’ll just laugh.

Late late late. Got some horrifying news over the last six or seven (can’t even remember) days. Never mind, I’ll come back later.

I guess it’s okay to post this here since my sister posted it on FB: this weekend and week we learned my sister has stage 4 lung cancer but it isn’t typical lung cancer and they can’t find where it originated–that affects her treatment. She had colon cancer a few years ago but they checked that first and found nothing. This news has floored all of us–we can’t get our heads around it. We just moved to Tennessee about six months ago and that’s when this cancer began. She’s the one who has supported our family financially (ALL of us) giving up her life to do that. I go from crying hysterically to laughing hysterically all where she can’t see me fall apart. She and everyone who knew of us pulled off a major miracle praying for me when I fell over dead of a cardiac arrest in 2015. Now I pray I can do that for her. I don’t know if I can live through this. Please pray for my sister everyone, I don’t care what you believe. Thanks in advance.
