Hump Day Kick Start – One in the Skull Edition

Hump Day Kick Start – for your muse, a writing picture prompt, or just a visual treat.

Uh-oh. What did he do?

Tell me about today’s prompt. Who is he? Who is she? Why is she pressing a gun into his forehead? Sure, this could be a jilted lover tired of his cheating ways. Or perhaps she just found out he’s been using her for her money and is none too happy about it. Maybe she is an assassin. But is she one of the good guys or does she work for an evil syndicate? What if she’s being blackmailed and is insisting her wealthy boss/ex/neighbor her save her brother/sister/child? Who knows, maybe he was late—again—picking her up for a date.

Tell me a tale or caption the pic, yo.

“I didn’t say ‘play it again, Sam’… and I know your name isn’t Sam,” said Leesa, as she ground the muzzle of her .45 into the sweaty forehead of Leonard.
“Sorry, Leesa,” replied Leonard, his voice quaking, “I was just kidding.”
“Well, stop the kidding and do what you know I want.”
Leonard licked his dry lips. “Are you sure? I mean, right here?”
    “Do it!”
Leonard’s fingers reached forward and found their customary positions. “Is there no way out of this?”
“No, you slug, now do it!”
“Okay, Leesa, have it your way. But could you at least put the gun down?”
“No, damnit. Now play Misty for me.”

it’s a really good suspense thriller — low key for Eastwood, who plays a late-night deejay.
