Hump Day Kick Start – Writing Prompt #10

Writing prompts to kick start your muse.

A traitor can be many things—a betrayer, imposter, spy, deserter, rebel. A traitor can have many reasons for doing what they did—money, greed, politics, principal, sheer insanity, even love. For today’s prompt, who is this person? Who were they disloyal to? Why did they do it? Was it a matter of life and death? To climb a social ladder? For evil? To save all of humanity? Because there was only one ice cream bar/cheese stick/can of beer left in the fridge?

Share your ideas and/or post your creations, even if it’s just a line or two. I’d love to hear them.

Re: The kids you were chasing

I am not a traitor to your high school administration.
Those kids were exercising their first amendment rights — as well as flexing their creative muscles — by putting out that underground newsletter.
Yes, some of the articles are close to the edge… but I don’t feel oppressive censorship is the answer. Nor do I believe you should have jumped into your car and attempted to run them down.
Sure, the cartoon of you with a pizza on your head was disrespectful, but I believe you must earn the respect of these high school students.
So, I did what I had to do. You can call AAA to get the air put back in your tires.

Oomph…gotta say I disagree with ol’ Jane. Principals shouldn’t have to earn respect from the students. Should be the other way around. Still, spunky little lady. I can see the buffoonery unfolding. 😀
