Hump Day Kick Start – Writing Prompt #25

Writing prompts to kick-start your muse.

I’m kinda loving this prompt. Who is the main character? An alien? A mythological goddess? A dragon? Is the human male or female? Why are humans considered dangerous? Because of advanced warfare? The spread of pathogens? Seduction and sins of man? Why had the human been captured? For research? To save a dying species? For food? Breeding? For ransom? The possibilities are limitless!

Share your ideas and/or post your creations, even if it’s just a line or two. I’d love to hear them.

For untold centuries our breed has been worshiped, but never understood. For most of that time, we’ve merely tolerated the human species — partly because of convenience, but mostly out of curiosity. It was amusing to see how they’d fumble and stumble over themselves trying to please us.
Well, except for those with evil hearts who decided instead to abuse us — what we’ve done to them (in retribution) cannot be told. Suffice it to say that they were made aware of their transgressions against us… and did not live to transgress again.
    Where was I?
Oh, yes, that human cringing in the corner.
That case is fairly minor (in the scope of human frailties). The human had neglected — one time too many, it turns out — to fill my meal dish with Meow Mix.
I’d made it perfectly clear that I wanted the dish to remain at precisely 75% capacity… but this human had allowed it to fall to 50% or less.
    Enough is enough.
Time for the human to be punished.
Now, to select the particular torment…
