Hump Day Kick Start – Target Locked Edition

Hump Day Kick Start – for your muse, a writing picture prompt, or just a visual treat.

Intrigue. Suspense. Danger.

Tell me about today’s prompt. Who is she and why is she a target? International spy with secrets that cannot be revealed? Government assassin who is too dangerous even for her own employers? Time jumper who has to be stopped from changing the future? Leader of an elite coven/cult/Lycan army/fashion designer club with a price on her head from rivals? Office intern who got a coffee order wrong?

What’s your take? Tell me a tale or caption the pic. I’d love to hear from you.

[We join the surveillance team, two hours after their shift began.]
Bill: Okay, I’ve got her. Entering that big department store on Fifth Avenue.
Frank: You sure it’s the right target?
Bill: Yeah. Lanky blonde with sunglasses & trenchcoat. Legs go all the way up.
Frank: Right. That’s her. She just left the bank on the corner.
Bill: What time did she leave the Ritz Hotel?
Frank: Log book shows 0800. Guess she needed an early start.
Bill: Is this your first time on the Madame X detail?
    Frank: Sadly, no.
Bill: So how many times have you drawn this assignment?
Frank: Too many times to mention.
Bill: Seriously? I thought we were supposed to rotate, so the target won’t be able to sniff us out.
    Frank: I can’t rotate.
    Bill: Why not?
Frank: Well, for one thing, she’s my wife.
Bill: You’re kidding. So, how’d you draw this detail?
Frank: That’s the other thing: she has all my credit cards.

Oh, that’s good. Real good, Jeff. Love it! Poor, poor Frank.
