Hump Day Kick Start – Ceiling Edition

Hump Day Kick Start – for your muse, a writing picture prompt, or just a visual treat.

I’m late! I’m late! For a very important date! I give you today’s Hump Day Kick Start.

This pic is an accurate representation of how my summer has been. So what’s going on here? Is this a new meaning to hitting the glass ceiling?  Is she trying to escape a fashion nightmare? Was she dancing to her favorite Cindi Lauper song when she fell through?

What’s your take? Tell me a tale or caption the pic. I’d love to hear from you.

“So, where’s this hot new girlfriend you keep talking about?” asked Bert. “Is she coming to your party or not?”
“Yeah, she’ll drop in later,” replied Ernie. “Lives one floor up in this same building.”
“Well, she’d better hurry, dude, cuz I’ve been waiting over an hour already.”
“No sweat, Bert. She’s a female. Fashionably late — you know the drill.”
“Hmm. If this Cassandra of yours doesn’t show up in the next ten minutes, I’m calling B.S. on the new girlfriend story.”
Ernie glared. “Won’t bother me if you meet her or not. Cassandra is my girl and, like I said, she’ll drop in any minute.”
Suddenly there was a loud crash in the next room. Bert, Ernie, and seven of the other eleven guests rushed to see what had happened.
“So…” said Ernie, in a slow drawl. “Do you believe me now? I told you she’d drop in.”
Bert nodded. “I always knew you were a leg man, but this is ridiculous.”

Bert and Ernie, huh? Was the Count there, too? Counting to the number of the day? One party guest, hahaha. Two party guests, hahaha. Three party guests, hahahaha.
Very cute, Jeff. I love it!

My initial direction was to play on the fact that it’s obviously the legs of a mannequin … but I loved the imagery of “she’ll drop in soon”
