Hump Day Kick Start – Levitating and a Whole Lot of Nope

Hump Day Kick Start – for your muse, a writing picture prompt, or just a visual treat.

Just gonna leave this here….and run like hell.

Continuing on with the creepy October prompts, tell me about this one. Who are these girls, where are they, and what are they doing? Who is that on the floor? Is this an insane asylum for young girls? Have the demons finally taken over? Are their souls inside the walls?

What’s your take? Tell me a tale or caption the pic. I’d love to hear from you.

well, I have to tell ya that I couldn’t come up with a “story” because I was so intent on solving how they took the photo. Finally figured it out.
At first, I thought they did the old trick of letting the people lie down on a set where the floor is made to look like a wall… then flip the pix 90 degrees. But that didn’t fit because their hair hung straight down.
Then I looked for signs of a harness and “invisible” wires. Nope.
Finally I saw that each has a little socket where the toes and ball of their left foot is supporting their weight… and probably had a recessed handle for their left hand to keep them pulled to the wall’s surface.
Having them point their right foot so dramatically was a touch of genius by the photographer.
Oh, and one woman is just standing on a window ledge.

Like you, Jeff, I studied the pic. I came to the same conclusion as you did. However, if I were to walk into a room and see this, I wouldn’t stick around to analyze the laws of physics. Nope, I’d be heading for the closest fount of holy water and douse myself, maybe pick up a couple dozen sticks of sage….just to make sure I didn’t pick up any residual evil.
