ahhh, bookmobiles. I remember them well.
The customers generally loved them, but we librarians tended to hate them. They didn’t always run (or run well). The generator often didn’t work. Consequently, HVAC unit(s) wouldn’t function.
When you went into a deep pothole, all the books would fly out of the slanted shelves.
Yep, fond memories…

Sorry, but I just got a comical visual of books tumbling everywhere and a not-so-quiet librarian with a potty mouth.

it was mainly the books from the topmost shelves that would be flung from their slanted shelves.
But a huge mess, nonetheless.
