More great information from The Art of Manliness. This is awesome for self-defense and, of course, authors looking to get their characters on the winning end of a nasty fight.

Ok. So I found this excellent information! I mean, I just KNOW one day I’ll be busting through a barricade across state lines on a beer-toting dare. Or during some post-apocalypse chase.

I’m pretty sure that if I ever got lost in the wilderness, I’m not going to last long, especially if it gets cold. I’m by no means a city girl and I’d put in a good effort. But…the cold. Yeah, I’m like one of those frozen lizards falling out of the trees in Florida. Can’t. Move. Must conserve energy. I’m just useless. But should I ever find myself stranded in the unforgiving boonies without the proper essentials, I might be able to start a fire with my cell phone to keep warm.
The Art of Manliness is once again looking out for us with another great survival tip with starting a fire using a cell phone battery.

Whether for your own personal knowledge or for authors who write suspense, time travel, fantasy, sci-fi, military, and the like, today’s link is detailed post on how to clear your home or other structure of intruders. It’s from one of my favorite blogs, The Art of Manliness. The post talks about safety and gives you the best chances for survival, including how to hold your weapon, the best weapon of choice, how to utilize decor to your advantage, and the tactics used for clearing stairs, halls, corners, and rooms with closed doors.
