Hump Day Kick Start – Chains and Rain Edition

Hump Day Kick Start – for your muse, a writing picture prompt, or just a visual treat.

rain and chain

It’s been storming in MuseTracks’ neck of the woods the last couple of days. Seemed appropriate to post a sexy, wet prompt.

Who are they? Why does she have a chain around her throat? Is she a victim or is she a threat? And to what? The heart or the body? Are they ex-lovers reuniting during an apocalyptic storm? Is she dying and he’s about to give her a life-giving kiss? Could she be a shape-shifting beast and he a beast master? Maybe she is a storm chaser and he’s the storm.

What’s your take? Or just caption the pic.

Okay, here’s the story of Kaylie and Hiram.
Kaylie was having problems and not coping well. With everything seemingly against her — except Hiram, whom she wanted against her (if you know what I mean) — Kaylie finally decided to end it all. Wrapping a heavy bulky chain about her neck, she made her final peace and slid into the cool, deep brook.
Hardly had she reached bottom when Hiram’s strong arms pulled her up into a clumsy embrace and yanked her to the surface.
“What are you doing?” he screeched.
She explained, amid sputters and gasps for breath. “Why’d you stop me?”
“I won’t let you leave me,” he exclaimed.
Startled at his implicit declaration of affection, she inquired.
“Of course, I love you,” he replied. “And I also want you.” Then he kissed her deeply.
Recovering from all that had happened in the preceding several minutes, Kaylie leaned back, tried to focus on his eyes, and inquired,”Then why am I still in the water?”
After a long pause, in which he visually examined every inch of her drenched body, Hiram answered, “Because I like you wet.”
