Hump Day Kick Start – for your muse, a writing picture prompt, or just a visual treat.
As a reminder, MuseTracks is in New York for the RWA Conference. Since we are in the big city, what better prompt than one featured high atop a building ledge.
Tell me about these two. Are they thrill seekers high (literally) on adrenaline? Had their relationship been falling apart and one of them ready to end it all? Is this part of a lover’s pact? Are they immortal, jumping through time loops, and he finally caught up to her? This could be a moment straight out of Inception.
You tell me. What’s your take? Or just “caption this” photo.
Hi Jenn! I think he’s trying to kill her. This pic reminds me of a scene from an old movie, “A Kiss Before Dying”.
Psycho Robert Wagner lured his pregnant girlfriend Joanne Woodward to the tallest building in town. That’s where the local justice of the peace’s office was located. This creep claimed he’d already gotten a marriage license, and there they could get married. But once she arrived, he took her to the roof for a kiss, then pushed her off.
In this photo, the guy is close to the wall, but the girl’s on the edge. Already one leg is dangling down. I think the rest of her is about to follow!

If I missed this one, it’s only because I get dizzy at great heights!

the first time I noticed it was when my son was a toddler & we went to the Grand Canyon. He was darting all over the place — as I had done when I’d first visited at age 7 — & I was paralyzed with fear that he’d pitch over some edge. we were hanging on to him so hard, he prob had bruises

For me, it started during my first pregnancy. I began having extremely irrational thoughts of how I would/could protect my child in instances I had absolutely no control over. I started having spontaneous anxiety attacks. Yeah…kinda sucked.
